ISKSAA WRIGHTINGTON 2 weeks fellowship(from 9 March, 2015 to 22 March, 2015) in upper limb arthroscopy under Prof. Lennard Funk.

I am highly obliged that ISKSAA selected me to enhance my arthroscopic skills from one of the best upper limb centre and a great mentor and gifted surgeon Prof. Lennard funk.

I would like to thank Dr. Pushpinder Singh Bajaj and Prof. Dr. Lalit Maini for wounderful opportunity given to me in the form of this two weeks ISKSAA Wrightington fellowship in shoulder and upper limb arthroscopy and arthroplasty.

Mr. Sumedh Talwalkar and Mr. Puneet Monga were extremely helpful in familiarizing us with the hospital and rest of the staff. All our doubts right from portal making, anatomic to complex double row rotator cuff repairs, subscapularis repairs, Bankarts and pan-labral repairs, acromioplasty, shoulder release, latarjet procedure, total and reverse shoulder arthroplasty, wrist arthroscopy, arthrodesis and MCP joint replacements so on and so forth were crystal cleared. We had attended very interactive and regular teaching schedule in mornings and twice a week cadaveric demonstration of procedures like latarjet procedure in the evenings.

We observed 7 joint replacements (including total and reverse shoulder replacements and MCP joint replacement) and about 40 shoulder arthroscopies, 5 wrist arthroscopies and 2 open rotator cuff repairs.

We had a visit to Edinburgh (Scotland), Manchester and London on the weekends, visit to these places was memorable and mesmerizing experience. We did not face any difficulty as far as food and residence was concern.

In the end I would like to thank Prof. Lennard Funk, a very helpful teacher with clear fundamentals that reflects in whatever he has done for us.

To summarize, I gained whole new set of arthroscopic skills, treatment protocols and knowledge which has helped me in becoming a more mature arthroscopic surgeon.
