I had the privilege of attending the BIOTEK–ISKSAA Fellowship 2024 from 10th to 16th February 2025 under the expert mentorship of Dr. Madan Ballal, Head of the Department of Orthopaedics and Director of the Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics, Bengaluru. This one-week fellowship provided me with valuable exposure to a wide spectrum of arthroscopic and sports medicine procedures, including ACL and PCL reconstructions, meniscal repairs, MPFL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, Bankart repairs, and the management of multi-ligamentous knee injuries. Dr. Ballal’s systematic approach to patient evaluation, meticulous surgical technique, and evidence-based post-operative protocols were truly inspiring. I greatly benefited from his structured teaching style, daily academic discussions, and intraoperative guidance, which helped deepen my understanding of arthroscopic principles and joint preservation strategies. His passion for education and patient care left a lasting impression on me. I sincerely thank ISKSAA and BIOTEK for facilitating this invaluable learning opportunity and highly recommend this fellowship to orthopedic surgeons aiming to enhance their skills in arthroscopy and sports medicine.
