I was selected to be a part of the ISKSAA Panchkula ISAKOS-accredited six-month Travelling Fellowship program, which commenced in July 2025 and was successfully completed in January 2026. I am deeply grateful to Dr Pushpinder Bajaj, Dr Lalit Maini, and all the esteemed ISKSAA members for considering me for this exceptional and prestigious opportunity.

I successfully completed my six-month ISKSAA Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine under the mentorship of Dr Ravi Kumar Gupta. The fellowship proved to be a highly enriching and academically rewarding experience that significantly enhanced my understanding and practical skills in arthroscopy and sports injury management.

During the fellowship, I gained extensive exposure to diagnostic and operative arthroscopy of the knee and shoulder, including ligament reconstruction, meniscal procedures, rotator cuff pathologies, and comprehensive management of sports-related injuries. The structured training program, combined with hands-on surgical experience, helped me develop confidence in clinical decision-making as well as operative techniques.

Dr Ravi Kumar Gupta’s guidance, meticulous surgical approach, and strong emphasis on evidence-based practice played a crucial role in shaping my clinical judgment and surgical acumen. His mentorship, encouragement toward critical thinking, ethical practice, and patient-centered care greatly contributed to my professional development.

The fellowship also strengthened my skills in preoperative planning, postoperative rehabilitation protocols, and multidisciplinary management of sports injuries. Overall, this fellowship has been instrumental in refining my expertise in arthroscopy and sports medicine and has laid a strong foundation for my future clinical practice.

I remain sincerely thankful for the opportunity to train under Dr Ravi Kumar Gupta and for the invaluable experience gained during the ISKSAA Travelling Fellowship.
