ISKSAA BOA UK TRAVELLING FELLOWSHIP 2022

First of all I am obliged to Dr Pushpinder Bajaj and Dr Sanjeev Anand for giving me this opportunity.

Myself Dr Umesh Patil have successfully completed ISKSAA BOA FELLOWSHIP in arthroplasty and arthroscopy under Dr Sanjeev Anand at Leeds in sep-oct 2023.

My journey started with BOA( British Orthopedic Association) annual meet in Liverpool. The registration of this conference was done for me free with lots of efforts from Dr Sanjeev. It was a awesome conference at historical albert docks and i had a great time liverpool. Dr Sanjeev also helped me in my transfer from liverpool to leeds in a comfortable way.

In Leeds i got a chance to work and interact with at least 6 different arthroplasty surgeons. I got to work in 3 different hospitals during this period. 2 out of these were NHS hospitals. I saw a variety of cases during this period including primary hips and knees, revision hips and knees, complex revisions, Elbow arthroplasty and even a Patellofemoral Arthroplasty. All the surgeons were very interactive and helpful. Dr Sanjeev Anand, Dr George Whitwell, Dr Veysi, Dr Hanal James, Dr Hemant Pandit , Dr Jaya Palan are one of the bests in leeds and uk.

Leeds Teaching Hospitals are one of the best teaching institutes in Europe and its really respectable that Dr Bajaj and Dr Anand are giving us a chance to go there.

Leeds is very cultural city in UK and you can enjoy city centre, Harrogate ,York on weekends

Dr Sanjeev Anand is very experienced and respectable consultant in Leeds. He is not only an excellent teacher but very warm and humble person. He helped me right from Boa registration, travel, visa and until end.

This has been an wonderful experience and most importantly a learning experience. Finally once again my sincere thanks Dr Pushpinder Bajaj and Dr Sanjeev Anand for this opportunity
